As with anything valuable, take great care with your designer jewellery. Try not to scratch, snag or knock your item and store them in a safe padded box.

To remove dirt, Zoe recommends using warm water, a mild soap and a soft bristle toothbrush, then dry well. For tarnish, use a high quality silver dip*, ensuring you follow the instructions well. Rinse with luke-warm water after silver dip and dry well. *Please do not use silver dip with oxidised or gemstone jewellery.

To bring the shine back in your designer jewellery, gently rub with an anti-tarnish polishing cloth.

Zoe suggests you avoid wearing jewellery when applying any cosmetics such as perfume and hair spray, as chemicals like these can cause tarnish and discolouration to your jewels.

Due to their porous structure, it is advised not to soak them in water too long, instead just use a wet cotton cloth and wipe or, even better, use an anti-tarnish polishing cloth.
