Zoe Davidson Jewellery Items

Zoe Davidson Jewellery provides jewellery that is made and crafted in the Orkney Isles so you can be assured that you will receive a one-of-a-kind piece. But because every item is made by hand there may be small differences and variations in shape compared to the photographs displayed on our website.

In addition, there may be slight colour differences in gemstones from that on our website photographs. This is out of our control as some gemstones naturally have colour variations. However, we always do try to choose the best gemstones for our jewellery.

Hallmarking

All Zoe Davidson Jewellery’s items are made from precious metals such as  Sterling Silver (.925) or Gold (.375, .585, .750 or .916) unless otherwise stated. Items that fall beneath the UK’s current hallmarking legislation weight may not be hallmarked. Items over this weight will be hallmarked at Edinburgh’s Assay Office.

Ordering Online

When submitting an order on Zoe Davidson Jewellery’s website you are entering into a contract with us. This contract will become binding upon our acceptance via email of your order.

When ordering online you will be transferred through to a secure payment gateway. We use Paypal and Stripe to process our online transactions. We also accept payment over the phone.

When a payment has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email stating that your order has been placed with us. If you have any problems regarding payment, please do not hesitate to contact us as we can also process payments by phone.

Bespoke Orders

We love creating entirely new jewellery for customers which are specially designed and made by Zoe Davidson, herself. This service is limited to Zoe Davidson Jewellery’s brand and ethos, therefore we have the right to alter customer designs to suit that of our company’s style; alterations will be approved by the customer before-hand. To arrange a bespoke order, please email us and Zoe will organise a free consultation in person, telephonically or via email. This allows Zoe to understand exactly what you are looking for.

Please note: The deadline for Christmas bespoke orders in UK is the 15th of November each year. International is 20th October each year.

Bespoke Order Payment Terms

For all commissions, we now require a small non-refundable design fee, which will be invoiced within 15 days once we review your form. This fee covers the time and effort involved in design and research. After the design is approved, we will create an estimate for the selected design.

Once the estimate is approved, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm your commitment. Upon receipt of this deposit, we will begin work on your custom jewellery. Estimates for bespoke orders are valid for 30 days.
Please note that once a deposit is made, it confirms your commitment to the order, and it can no longer be cancelled.

When your jewellery is ready for collection or despatch, the remaining balance will be due. Goods remain the property of Zoe Davidson Jewellery until the order is paid in full.

FOR UK CUSTOMERS ONLY: For commission payments, we prefer payments by bank transfer. However, if you are unable to pay by bank transfer please let us know.

FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ONLY: For commission payments we prefer payment by Wise. However, if you are unable to pay by Wise please let us know.

Items designed and produced by Zoe Davidson Jewellery typically take 8-12 weeks to complete due to the intricate processes involved. Commissions require time and collaborative decision-making, so regular communication between us is essential. Delays in responding to or approving our emails and designs can impact the production timeline.

The final price of your item may change slightly due to fluctuations in metal prices or changes in the manufacturing. However, the change in price will only be within reason.

Cancellations

If you have made a mistake or wish to cancel your order, please contact us via email immediately at made@zoedavidsonjewellery.co.uk.

Please note that orders can only be cancelled before the items are despatched. If your items have been despatched, we are unable to cancel your order, so you will need to refer to our Returns Policy page.
