A beautiful pendant featuring a vibrant blue Australian Opal Doublet. A fold-formed silver and gold swirl surrounds the stone as if a wave just about to break. 18ct yellow gold plating is in the folded form adding a wonderful contrast to the silver. Each piece of opal are completely one of a kind with all their unique flashes of colour. An opal doublet is essentially two layers adhered together. The top layer is a thin slice of real opal and the bottom layer usually consists of a piece of black or dark potch (common) opal. This makes for a more affordable opal, yet still retaining those stunning opal patterns and colours.The pendant measures approximately 22mm wide, 18mm high and 4mm deep (excluding bail).
