In the centre sits a folded sheet of polished silver, representing the Barriers road. On either side, Zoe fuses cubes of solid silver to make up the stacked blocks.Earrings: These unusual stud earrings are ideal for everyday wear. Inspired by the Churchill Barriers, these would also make a great gift from Orkney.The folded sheet of metal represents the road running through the Barriers. Completely hand made and polished to make it seem like its taken straight from Orkney's swirling waters. Set safely inside the hand-formed crevasse lies a precious 2mm gemstone which can be either an oceanic sapphire, vivid blue topaz, emerald, or a purple amethyst. Inspired by rock fractures formed by the sea’s gentle rising and falling tides, the band has been shaped using a fold forming technique and softly hammered to create its sculptural texture.
The Kelp Ring features an emerald and London blue topaz, reflecting the rich greens and deep blues found beneath the surface — where strands of kelp move with the tide, catching light between shifting water and stone.
