Elegant handmade stud earrings, fold formed reflecting Orkney’s seas on a day of calm. There are intricate folded layers of silver with a Sapphire gemstone nestled in the centre. Inside each earrings’ fold contains vibrant 18ct yellow gold plating just as if the sun is beaming off the ocean’s surface. Completely hand formed so each earring is slightly different making each pair completely unique.Sapphires are precious gemstones and are known for their vibrant nearly ultra-violet blue colour, though they can come in a variety of other colours. Sapphires are extremely durable scoring a 9 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness.Each stud earring measures approximately 15mm high x 15mm wide x 4mm depth (excluding ear wire).
