      This Stromness Hooses brooch captures a timeless view of the town as seen from the sea — its distinctive stepped gable-ends, weathered stonework, and the piers that stretch gracefully into the water. Look closely and you’ll spot a tiny Orkney Yole in the foreground — the traditional clinker-built wooden boat that has long sailed these northern waters.

      Stromness holds a special place in Zoe’s heart, being both her hometown and the home of her workshop. This piece makes a thoughtful gift or keepsake, perfect for anyone who has wandered Stromness’s narrow lanes, arrived by boat, or simply fallen for its coastal charm.

      Beautifully versatile, this brooch looks stunning pinned to your favourite top, scarf, or jacket — a subtle way to carry a little piece of Orkney wherever you go.

      Hallmarked at Edinburgh’s Assay Office, ensuring its authenticity and craftsmanship.

      The word ‘hoose’ is Orcadian for house.

    • Sculptural Swirl Ring with Gold Pebble Granules

      A beautiful statement ring completely hand formed like a swirling wave. One side of the ring has a flattened surface for the wearer's comfort. The other side, a silver fold comes up and over the next finger along. Gold granules sit like little pebbles trapped in rock crevices on the shore.These rings are 'made to order'.This ring measures approximately 25mm wide by 30mm high by 6mm band approx. Made from Sterling Silver with 9ct Gold Granules.There is a 5-10mm gap which allows for any slight size adjustments. Gently squeeze the base and top of the ring together until the required size.Hand made in Stromness, in Zoe's cosy workshop.
    • Double Fracture Drop Silver Earrings with Gold Pebbles

      Handmade modern earrings inspired by pebbles caught between shoreline formations carved out by the sea. At high tide, waves can carry sediment like pebbles further up the beach. As the tide falls back, they nestle between lines in the rock.Each earring feature small balls of 9ct yellow gold 'pebbles', echoing sediment laid by the falling tides. The top component fits in the ear much like a stud and is fixed with a sterling silver butterfly/scroll.Dimensions:Each earring measures approximately 25mm high, 10mm wide and 5mm deep. If you look closely you can see a traditional Orkney Yole in the foreground, a wooden traditional clinker-built boat, native to Orkney. Stromness is particularly important to Zoe as it's been her hometown and workplace since moving to Orkney. Makes a wonderful gift or memory-token to oneself. The silver lines draw the box beds and passageways found at the site. The shapes are abstracted and simplified creating intricate earrings.
